MARCH 2015

FAREWELL MRS REES

After over twenty years of loyal and indispensable service, Mrs Rees, our Admin Officer Extraordinaire, is retiring. I’m sure you would all like to join me in wishing her well for her retirement and saying a big thank you for all her hard work over the years. She will be greatly missed!

DYDD GWYL DEWI

A great day of celebration and competition was had by all on Monday. Tywi House won the day in a very close competition. Well done to everyone for making the day a memorable one. Our Foundation Phase children are pictured in The Llanelli Star this week and pictures our Juniors can be found on the Events page of our website.

BIGFOOT ARTS

In the last week of term, Bigfoot Arts will be joining us to bring tales of The Mabinogion to life. They will be performing in assemblies and doing drama workshops with each class. This is an exciting opportunity for our pupils to develop a wide range of performance and oracy skills while learning about Welsh culture.

SPRING HUNT

Following last year’s success, The PTCA Spring Hunt returns this year. It will be held on Thursday March 26th at 3:45pm.

RED NOSE DAY – MARCH 13th

Pupils are encouraged to donate £1 and wear something funny for Comic Relief 2015. This could be face paint, wild hair or fancy dress.

NETBALL TOURNAMENT

The Y5/6 netball team will be taking part in a tournament at Llanelli Leisure Centre on Thursday March 19th

MANOR ADVENTURE

On Friday March 20th, Year 6 pupils will leave for a weekend of fun and activities at Manor Adventure. We wish them (and their teachers!) well.

QUESTIONNAIRES

Lots of you have completed our Parent Questionnaire. It will be available on the website until Friday March 6th. If you haven’t already done so, please log on and complete the questionnaire and you will be entered into our draw to win free entry to Bryn and Bryn PTCA events for the whole family for the rest of the year!

END OF TERM

Term ends on Friday 27th March. Children can be picked up from 1pm onwards.

We start back for the summer term on TUESDAY APRIL 14th

Many thanks as ever for your continued and much valued support.
