LOUGHOR LIFEBOAT VISIT

We have been lucky enough to secure a visit from the Loughor Inshore Lifeboat. The craft will be based on our hard-standing area and classes will be brought out to have a talk from the team and inspect it at close quarters.

NURSERY & RECEPTION SPORTS

Please enter the yard through the side gates by the canteen. The gate will be opened at 1:10pm for parents to take their seats. The events are due to start at 1:30pm.

YEAR 1-6 SPORTS

This will be held at the Scarlets Barn on Thursday 25thth June. Doors open at 9.45a.m. and the event should finish between 12-12.30p.m. There will be a parent’s entry charge of £1 to cover the cost of hire of the barn and the children’s transport.

Please note all children must return to school on the bus, but you can collect them from school on their return. School dinner will not be served to Year1-Year6 children on that day so please provide your child with a packed lunch (those in receipt of free meals will receive a packed lunch from the school canteen). If you wish to provide your child with a bottle of water and some fruit snacks make sure that their name and class are written on the packaging. Please make sure your child arrives in school on time on 25th June.

DRESS UP AND DANCE

We are raising money for cancer charity MacMillan on Friday June 26th. Three short discos will be held during the day for Nursery/Reception, Y1 & Y2 and Y3-Y6. Pupils are encouraged to dress up either in fancy dress or in their favourite dancing gear! A minimum contribution of £1 is encouraged to take part.

SUMMER FUN NIGHT

Please come and support the school on what should be a great evening. There will be numerous stalls and events plus a range of amusements. Doors open from 4pm to 7pm.

TEDDY BEARS PICNIC

The canteen staff are holding a ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’ themed lunch on Wednesday July 8th. We hope, weather permitting, to eat our lunch outside as a whole school (staff included)!

ART EXHIBITION & PARENT TOURS

Don’t forget, these will be taking place on July 10th. The guided tours will be happening between 2pm and 3pm. The art exhibition will be on from 2pm to 5pm.

END OF TERM & CAR BOOT SALE

As usual, children can be collected from 1pm onwards on Friday July 17th. The PTCA are holding a car boot sale in the staff car park from 1:30pm until 4pm on this day. If you wish to reserve a pitch then give your details to Mrs Robinson. Reservations cost £5 per car. Space is very limited so it will be a case of first come, first served.

NEW TERM – SEPTEMBER 2016

Please note that pupils return after the summer break on WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 4th

ADVANCE NOTICE:

The school will be closed for In-Service Training on FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 4th. Apologies for the timing so soon after the start of term but this is due to the  availability of external training providers.

Many thanks as ever for your continued and much valued support.

On behalf of all of us at Bryn I would like to wish you all a fantastic (and hopefully sunny) summer.
